Jenn Allen is an Herbalist, Botanical Perfumer, Yoga Teacher, and Licensed Professional Counselor. She is best known for her accessible and down to earth teaching style that weaves the hands on techniques of the Healing Arts with the Sacred.   Jenn is best known in the herbal community through her work with botanical scent including both incense and perfume.  She weaves personal myth, folklore and ritual into her scent storytelling and feels that fragrance calls to a deep place within the human psyche that no other medium can touch.  Jenn has been a teacher at national herbal conferences including the New England Women's Herbal Conference and the MidAtlantic Women's Herbal Conference.  She is one of the final apprentices of Rosemary Gladstar and currently studies with perfumer Mandy Aftel. 

 Jenn approaches mental health counseling from a strength-based integrative approach, helping clients to find balance and wellness by accessing and developing innate coping skills and strengths. With close to three decades in the holistic arts as a yoga teacher/teacher trainer and traditional herbalist, she seeks to treat the whole person with thoughtful and creative interventions. If necessary, she will utilize a somatic approach by including the body as a tool in treatment. 
Jenn is known for her work with LGBTQIA individuals, the alternative sexual lifestyles, out of control sexual behaviors, trauma, women's issues and existential concerns. She holds additional training and certifications in trauma & substance abuse, sexual diversity, and Integrative & Nutritional Approaches to Mental Health. She is currently working on a post graduate certification in Sex Therapy

​Academically, she received a BA in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and has a Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. In addition to being an herbalist she also holds an E-RYT500 certification in yoga since 1996 and is the founder and former owner of Sundari Yoga and Wellness which she sold 10 years ago and which has trained some of the areas top teachers and current studio owners.  At home, she stewards sanctuary space for her beloved honeybees and endangered woodland plants.
